My grandfather (FAM II) was a theoretical chemist who spent his tenured career at the University of Texas, Austin. He published over 250 scientific articles and was the author of three books. He developed group theoretic methods for quantum mechanics and was an early proponent of the use of computers in chemistry. Here is a picture of his group in 1965. He is the third from the left in the back row.
